SMASH SESSIONS

One year old baby Unicorn smash

After countless sleepless nights, an infinite number of diaper changes, and about a million drooly smiles and toothless grins, it’s finally time to plan your baby’s first birthday party.

This birthday is going to be priceless down the road. One your little tike likely wont remember but the photos will be pulled out year after year as you reflect back on how much they've grown. It's been a year of growth and change. It's time to celebrate!

First, choose a theme for their first birthday party. Picking a theme makes it easier to focus on the colors, decorations and other party details.

You don’t have to follow a theme, but sometimes picking one makes it easier to focus on the colors, decorations and other party details. Consider these ideas:

Next, send out the invitations! Of course this party is just as much for mom and dad so invite friends and family. But also consider play group or daycare friends for baby.

This would be a good time to set up baby cake smash session and first birthday shoot. That way we can create custom party invitations featuring your kiddos birthday pictures.

This sweet little girl had a unicorn cake smash. The cake was made by Sweets by Staci. Love the rainbow tutu and background. She couldn't stop smiling. Sooo sweet!

Next, use the theme you chose to find party games and themed foods for your guests.

All that's left is hosting the party and enjoying your family and friends. Don't forget the camera!
