The are many newborn photographers you can choose from offering a variety of skill sets, services and price points. You might even find yourself overwhelmed with the amount of information to consider: cost, final product, skill level and safety.
First and foremost, I think any parent would consider safety a top priority for their newborn photography experience. Many parents unfamiliar with photography may not realize that a level of skill and safety measures are required for a number of the popular newborn poses you see all over pinterest and the web.
Here at Christy Whitehead photography, safety is my top concern when it comes to handling your newborn baby. Posing techniques are very important for newborn photography and without that knowledge it can be dangerous to your newborn. We’re always working to expand our knowledge and skill through virtual training and in person. We have attended a number of photography conferences to exchange skills, techniques and education needed for newborn baby portraits. We’re also members of WPPI (wedding and portrait photographers international). Through continued education I have the confidence, knowledge and experience that is required to keep your newborn safe and bring you peace of mind during your newborn photography experience. Additionally, all babies are different and, just like adults, they have things they do and don’t like to do.
Like any quality service and product, the saying “You get what you pay for” really is true in this sense. Quality service, special care and lasting art that captures the essence of why you were looking for photography in the first place is entirely worth the investment. Especially when it lasts more than a lifetime.
