Get Comfortable. I know, I know. No one can be forced to feel comfortable in front of the camera. But there are things you can do to help yourself relax. First, plan a stress-free day before your engagement photos. Allow yourself plenty of time so you're not running late and rushing. Second, know that your photographer (me!) is going to do everything they can to keep it fun, keep it light and pose you in the most flattering angle. But there are things you can do to help like buy clothing your 100% comfortable in and that flatters you. If you love heels but they hurt your feet, make sure to bring along flats too because chances are we will be walking.
Be Confident: I promise you, these images are going to turn out fabulous. Be confident and be yourself. This photo session is all about you and your fiance, there is no one that has the same love story as you two. Plus, you're getting married and that's exciting in itself!
Have Fun: If you're comfortable and confident, the fun should come naturally! Letting a stranger photograph you may seem awkward at first but we're all going to be friends by the end of this and you will find yourself relaxing in no time. So take a deep breath and hand the reigns over! Let yourself enjoy this time and have fun. We're going to joke, we're going to do some fun poses and we're going to make fantastic images.
