ABOUT THE JAX PHOTOGRAPHER STUDIO EXPERIENCECWP is a boutique studio that specializes in creating custom sessions for each of our clients. We have 1,000s of backgrounds, props, and clothing.
Each session is custom designed around the client's request. After the session, all editing, such as acne, scratches, bruises are cleaned up. With family portraits we often have to do a head swap to get the perfect image. This is all done at no extra charge to the client.
Our studio values prints, wall art and albums. In an era when technology is constantly changing--does your computer even have a CD drive anymore?--we don't want our clients to lose their precious images. Prints stand the test of time. However, we also understand the value of digitals and provide these as an option as well. We provide digital files via an online link to download.
Christy has a degree in Journalism and used to write and photographs for newspapers and magazines locally and nationally since 1995, including The Florida Times Union and Folio Weekly. At the same time, many people asked her to photograph their families.
Around 2007, Christy opened her first studio in Riverside. Eventually moving to Chaffee Road on the Westside, then back to Riverside and now back to Chaffee. We have been at our current studio since 2013. We have one of the largest studios in the area with an extensive collection of backdrops, props and even clothing for our clients to borrow.
I am only one, but still I am one – I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. --Helen Keller
We are a small business, but at least once a year we try to give back where we can.
Some of our past projects have included:
Foster Closet--raising money and collecting toys and clothing to help foster kids
Red Cross--donating money to help with disaster relief
Law Enforcement--donating portrait sessions and money to support our LEOs and their families.
The heart in my logo stands for what I photograph--the love between people, relationships, and even the love we have for growing our businesses. It stands for passion, connection, the things you care about in your life.
My business is my passion, no matter how cliché that is to say. I'm a workaholic, because I enjoy what I do. And I love helping other people grow their own business. But one of the reasons I love my job so much is that it allows me to focus on the things that are really important in my life, which I think is how all business owners feel.
I have two small children and for me, my family means everything to me. My kids and my family love looking at photos of us at different stages in our lives--different haircuts, fat, skinny, and of course getting grayer every year.
I remember looking at photo albums every time I visited family members’ houses growing up. Photographs help us see our history, understand our place in the world and know how much we are loved and thought of.
I know, that your family is the most important thing in the world to you, and photographs are how we treasure and hold to those moments in time for years to come. Many parents don’t like to be in the photo session, but the truth is, these photos are not for you. They are for your children and their children. They are a living legacy for them.
Studies show that when children see their portrait on the wall it helps them feel loved and accepted. It helps them define their place in the world.
With a comfortable 2400sq foot studio as well as a variety of on-location options, I focus on capturing the traditional portraits while also putting my photojournalism experience to use to capture true emotion and authentic moments.
My goal is to make you walk out of your session saying “that wasn’t painful.” And then being wow'd when you come in to view your portraits at your Ordering Session.
I’ll guide you through the products we offer so that you’re hanging up artwork that fits your style and your space--and most importantly won’t be forgotten on your computer, or worse yet, accidentally deleted.
My photography studio is filled with a variety of samples you can see and touch to inspire new ways to display your memories. Choose from traditional heirloom prints, to gorgeous canvases and metal or thick bound albums your grandkids will be turning the pages of for years to come.
Don’t wait until next year, or after you’ve lost that 15 pounds, make a commitment to your family to record this moment now--the good and the bad. Then, as things change, record those moments too. The new family members, the weight loss, the first missing tooth.
You'll never regret taking the photo, but may regret not taking them.
Easily accessed off Chaffee and 10 in Jacksonville, Florida, book your session today and let me help you create the only media that doesn’t go out of favor and will always be there for you, through every hard drive crash--a printed portrait.
