Wardrobe: Most couples have at least 2 outfits, one that is casual and one that is dressier. When it comes to selecting your attire, one of the most important tips is to coordinate, not match. Which means your clothes should go together without looking like you shopped from his & hers section. Bold jewelery and colorful shoes photograph really well and make a statement. However, make sure that you look like you and feel comfortable!
Pamper Yourself: Treat yourself to a mani and pedi, maybe even a couples massage the day before your photos. Some brides even opt to get a blow out or loose curls done the day of the photos. The ring will be in focus during a few photos as well, so you will want to have it cleaned the day before.
Prepare Him: Most guys really arent sure what to expect from their engagement session. For many, the last time they had portraits done it was their Senior year and it was a lot of "look at the camera and smile." Here we will be doing things like nuzzling, kissing and maybe even a back ride or two! It's a good idea to let him know in advance.
Be on Time: If we're photographing on location, chances are that your session is scheduled near sunset. Which means that we will lose light at the end of the session and it can not be extended. By showing up late it will cut time out of your session. If at all possible, try to be on time so that you don’t lose any of your shooting time and pretty sunlight!
