When and Where to Take Your Maternity Photos
Let's begin with when. When it comes to maternity photos, bigger is better. You want to be far enough along in your pregnancy that you baby bump is quite obvious and not easily hidden since the whole point of the photoshoot is to show off your beautiful pregnant body.
We recommend coming in somewhere around the 30 week mark. By this point your bump is beautifully round and your skin is glowing. Energy levels have usually picked up around this time as nesting begins too.
When it comes to location it boils down to three options: on location, at the studio or at your own home.
You may be most comfortable at home and it's a great chance to show off the nursery or the backyard where your children will grow up.
However, the studio here in Jacksonville also offers the luxury of great lighting no matter the time of day or year. We also have a variety of props and creative concepts.
You also have the option of on location photography sessions. My private flower fields and unique beach locations make gorgeous backdrops for maternity sessions. In fact, some of my favorite maternity photos were taken outdoors.
Let's get together and plan your ideal maternity session so we can document one of the most important journeys in your life.
