5 of Your Newborn Photography Questions Answered
- When is the best time to book a session?
That one is easy! You should book your session during the 2nd or 3rd trimester. Sessions should take place during the first two weeks of your babies life. Couples book their session early then call me once the baby is born.
- What if my baby doesn't arrive on the due date?
Welcome to the club! Newborn babies rarely do. Which is why we actually reserve time in our schedule for the weeks surrounding your estimate due date.
- How long does a session take?
Most newborn sessions last anywhere from 2-4 hours. This gives us enough time for feedings, outfit changes, different wraps and a variety of props.
- What should my baby wear to the session?
Babies spend most of their time during the session naked or wrapped in blankets. This is the best way to show of their newborn size. I recommend dressing baby in loose, comfortable clothing that we can easily remove.
- What should we bring to the session?
Good items to bring are for baby are pacifiers, change of clothing, extra diapers, and formula or bottles if you're not breast feeding. If there are any special momentos you would like incorporated into the session you should bring those too.
