You may find it hard to believe, but you’ve made it halfway through your baby’s first year! Man how time flies bye. In just six short months, your baby has started to learn how to communicate, to be mobile, to sit up on their own and is probably starting on solid foods.
Long gone are the days a tiny newborn fit into the palms of your hands. By now, your baby has likely doubled their birth weight! Six months is also the time they start sitting up alone. First learning to prop themselves up with their hands before fully sitting unsupported.
Sitting is one of the iconic milestones for 6 months and something we aim to capture - no matter what stage of sitting your baby is at. I love to position babies against stuffed animals or other toys to show their size relationship at this time too.
By now your baby is probably starting to babble as well as smile and giggle. It makes for some interesting chatter over breakfast in the morning but those toothless grins are another milestone we like to document too. Bring in their favorite noise maker (even if that's mom or dad) and be ready to work for smiles during this session!
